  RoboWorks

bullet3D modeling and simulation software used to run the simulations in this website.
bulletInstalled in the ME Computer Lab (3rd Floor of ETC).
bulletDemo Version available for free download at www.Newtonium.com.

  Instructions

  1. Download the RoboWorks Demo from Newtonium and install it on your computer
  2. Click on the simulation file which you wish to run.  The simulations are located under their respective classes or by subject.
  3. Save the file to your computer (it saves it with the extension .scn).  Open RoboWorks.  Click on the File pull down menu in the top left of the window.  Then click on Open and choose the simulation file you saved to your computer.
  4. You can move or resize the simulation window to the way you like it.
  5. To see different rotations of the simulation move the cursor to somewhere in the simulation window.  By holding down the left mouse button and moving the cursor you can rotate the simulation in space to obtain different views.
  6. If you wish to move the simulation or zoom in on it first make sure the simulation window is highlighted.  Click on Edit in the top left corner.  Then click on Interactive Mode.  By clicking on Translation or Zooming you can control the view of the simulation as in step 5.
  7. In order to animate the simulation you will need to download the data file or executable file that is listed with the RoboWorks file on the class pages.
  8. Then in RoboWorks click on Animation in the top left of the window.  If running off a data file click From File.  Then choose the data file that you downloaded from the website.  A small control panel will pop up.  Press the play button to start the simulation.  If running an executable file click on Animation then From IPC.  Open the executable file and follow the instructions given.
