| Belgrade-USC Hand | |
![]() |
The Belgrade/USC Hand was developed in the late 1980s and is a true anthropomorphic design with four fingers and an opposable thumb. The movements of the digits are coupled, reducing the number of motors required to drive the hand joints. Research continues on the development of improved control systems and the integration of "neural network" software that allows the hand to "learn" how to grasp different objects. |
